Three editors went 'down' in four days

Niel, Dhaka: The editor of a media house decides how to run the media. And when those editors are suddenly displaced or removed, various questions come to mind. Three editors of three major media outlets in Bangladesh have resigned or been forced to resign due to various reasons. Of these three, one has been forced to resign, one has been declared undesirable, and one has resigned._x000D_ _x000D_ The issue of these three editors is now on the hat of Bangladeshi media, so many editors are a bit embarrassed by such incidents. But no one is willing to say anything about it openly._x000D_ _x000D_ The first incident took place on November 4 of the running month. Abed Khan, editor-in-chief of Dainik Kalbela, has been removed suddenly, as an investigation against him revealed that he was acting against the nation and that he was guilty on the charges of anti-national and anti-establishment conspiracy._x000D_ _x000D_ On October 7, he got into trouble with editor Santosh Sharma as he wrote a report titled "Aashche Markini jhor," and he wanted to make that report the lead news. He (Santosh) did not listen to Abed, and then Abed Khan went to the (Ganavaban) public house. He went there and complained against Santosh Sharma. Later, when his report and allegations against Santosh Sharma were proved false, he was asked to be removed from the post order by a higher authority._x000D_ _x000D_ Meanwhile, Sharif Shahab Uddin, editor of Bangladesh Post owned by Sikdar Group, came to the discussion two days later on November 6. The journalists and employees of the media house accused him of corruption irregularities and declared him unwanted. The journalists and employees of the house did not stop with just making him unwanted They also published a news article declaring Sharif Shahab Uddin undesirable in print and online versions of Bangladesh Post._x000D_ _x000D_ On the other hand, the post of editor-in-chief of bdnews24.com came up on the discussion at the table on November 7. Tawfiq Imroz Khalidi announced that he is leaving the post of editor-in-chief of the online media. It is also known that Biswadeep Das is taking charge as the new editor in that place._x000D_ _x000D_ People related to the press and media are taking this change of BD News as natural. Others look at it as a systematic change. However, many people think that Tawfiq Imroz Khalidi, accused of corruption, is looking for 'safe passage'. Some people think that Imroz Khalidi has been forced to leave because of the website closure incident that happened a few days ago._x000D_ _x000D_ We tried to talk to several editors about these three editors, but none agreed to speak directly. The fact that the three editors are resigning or being forced to resign for their work is a bit shocking for the rest of the people working in this sector. There is no room to think or say anything else about the fact. Someone said it on condition of anonymity.
