Allegation of blackmailing against Desh TV to a female presenter

BMM Team: As a private satellite channel, Desh TV started its journey in 2009. Since its beginning, television has never enjoyed a huge popularity or fan following. In the last few years, popularity has hit rock bottom. Then there came the black sheep, the controversial and corrupt Arif Hasan, who took charge of the television in November 2021._x000D_ _x000D_ Arif took responsibility and promised to change the condition of the struggling television, but he could not change anything great; they are now going down fast as there are bigger complaints against the television. The television is owned by Awami League MP Saber Hossain Chowdhury and has various rough complaints like not paying salaries properly, salary discrimination, hiring amateur representatives in exchange for money, etc._x000D_ _x000D_ However, this time Arif Hossain and Desh TV authorities have been accused of blackmailing a news anchor and forcing her to do immoral deeds. A few months ago, the female presenter made a GD at the Ramana police station to escape from all this._x000D_ _x000D_ According to the copy of the GD, when she joined television through Arif Hossain, to join the job, she had to provide Arif Hassan with a check for four lakh taka (400,000 TK) without any date. Desh TV and Arif didn't stop there; they signed the contract on a stamp paper worth 100 taka. Things didn't go that well for the presenter; shortly after starting work, the presenter was forced to sign a new contract by cutting the salary and stopping other benefits. Matters went down that far that, if she did not agree to the agreement, he was threatened with a check leaf suit._x000D_ _x000D_ Desh TV authorities do not stop by just showing intimidation. They did every possible mental torture on the presenter, Not only that, Desh TV started pressuring her to do various unethical activities besides giving regular morning news, keeping her in the office for eight hours, etc._x000D_ _x000D_ After all these incidents, when the presenter was forced to leave Desh TV, she started being blackmailed again. As Arif ordered, the television demanded a check of four lakh (400,000) taka from her. If it's not, it wasn't, and the authorities at Desh TV started showing her various kinds of threats, including lawsuits. As simple as that, she didn't feel secure there, and she lodged a complaint with the police._x000D_ _x000D_ When we tried to contact the presenter to find out if the money had to be refunded in the end, there was no response from her. But we have confirmed that she is now working on another private TV._x000D_ _x000D_ Meanwhile, when various misdeeds are alleged against Arif Hossain, he simply denies it. Or if someone writes something about him somewhere, he conducts cyber attacks on those posts with his cyber team. This man Arif is facing a mess as the court has frozen a total of TK 341 crores one lakh 21 thousand 742 of 15 accounts of Arif accused of corruption
