Mithila has been appointed as Director of Public Diplomacy in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Dhaka: Mobashwira Farzana Mithila, a news anchor of private television 71, has been contractually appointed by the government as director/counsellor of the Public Diplomacy Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A notification regarding this order was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday. According to London-based 'Corruption in Media', Mithila Farzana got this job on the recommendation of 71 TV chief editor Mozammel Babu. A few days ago, another controversial woman journalist, Masuda Bhatti, was given a government job in the same way. At that time, there was a lot of criticism about this appointment (Bhatti's appointment). Media analysts feel that those who have helped the government in various ways in the media over the past few years are being rewarded with resettlement in various places. It is to be noted that several journalists were criticised for plot allocation by the government earlier; Farzana Mithila's name was also on that list.
